Slashdong is about the cominbation of sex and technology. I’ve been a geek since as long as I remember, and being male, I like teh sex0rz. I like them a lot. So I figured, why not combine the two? There’s a vast amount of humor in the subject, as well as some places to actually teach people things about electronics, engineering, and pimpin’ it both large and in charge.

I’m a mad scientist (read: robotics engineer) and accidental teledildonics expert in his rather uneventful mid-20’s. I’ve been online in various forms for 15 or so years, I’ve seen everything from sex BBSes through the beginnings of cybersex on AOL, the porn revolution on the web, and so on. I’ve always had an interest in how people relate to each other and form relationships online, as well as how the mating ritual has changed due to the unyielding onset of technology. That’s why I started this site, as a way to share stories and research on what technology is doing to sex, and vice versa.

I also love sharing knowledge on engineering. Most people couldn’t give less of a shit if you tried to teach them electronics/programming/mechanical engineering in their own contexts, but tie reproduction to the subject, and suddenly you’ve got a genetically guarenteed buy-in for their attention. So watch out, you might learn something here.

Good point. This site is more about the porn of engineering than the engineering of porn. There’s a billion sites where you can see naked dudes and ladies on the net. It’s totally been done before. We’re more interested in makin’ those dudes and ladies happy in their nono zones through our projects. The engineering and the science are the sexy part of this site.
