qDot goes to Folsom

Do I really need to say anything else?

Oh, well, one thing:

Daddy Howard gives the best spankings ever.

Those headphones are totally doing it.

Those headphones are totally doing it.

So sometimes you're just standing there in an overpriced kitchenware store buying fixing instruments for the yummy tea you just bought and all of the sudden you hear some Japanese Techno Lounge and you're getting your groove on like the god damn yuppie you are and you're totally like "OMG I HAVE THAT CD" and then you go home and you try to look up a video of it on YouTube so you can tell all your friends how you liked the Katamari Damacy soundtrack before it was "cool" and all you can find is HEADPHONES HAVING SEX.

I really feel like nature is telling me to get around to making that OhMiBod post now.

Folsom Street Fair (and LoveFest) this weekend!

As you can see from the picture I hastily yanked from their website because I'm hitting new heights of lazy these days...

It's Folsom time! Now that I'm finally in the city I plan on heading to this, so if any of you out there are also planning on heading out, throw an email at our tips address (tips at slashdong dot org), and you might be able to get that once in a lifetime meeting with your teledildonics god, me!

Note: I'll also be around LoveFest the day before, so if you're planning on packing your weekend full of sin like I am and going to both (or just LoveFest), feel free to email me to, or just look for me around any of the tents where there's decent tech house playing.

Amazon: Your source for used condoms

Ok, so we all remember when Amazon started selling sex toys. Now, logic would follow that they also sell condoms.

So, search Amazon for "condoms". Go ahead.

Ok, I know you didn't, you lazy fucking RSS reading hipster. So, here's an image.

Yes, not seeing it yet? Here, lemme highlight, Pokey the Penguin style.

Freesex: Sex and Second Life v2 - LibSL Edition

Freesex: Sex and Second Life v2 - LibSL Edition

Well, just a little under a month after a made my famous "It'll be ready this week!" annoucement, here's that code that was gonna be ready 3 weeks ago. This article is an unedited brain dump of the basics of libsl, and how I harnessed them for my demo at SLCC. The source code is included but has not been beautified in any way, so don't expect bells, whistles, or anything else. I do plan on extending it at some point, but since that will be some time in the future (for some possibly large values of 'some time in the future'), I figured I'd throw out what I've got now and let others start building on it.

And, thanks again to LibSecondLife and the SLJoy project for making this idea possible, even though they probably didn't mean to.

Lego Vibrator - The Fuck-o-matic

Lego Vibrator - The Fuck-o-matic

Well, I said not to shove cellphones into your nether regions, and I should probably continue that warning here.

Just because you can make the lego vibrate, doesn't mean you should then take advantage of it. However, it is a fairly awesome idea. Since it's attached to an RCX brick, you can use one of the many languages available to interact with the brick through IR. Hook that to a network, and you're good to go.

God. I just seriously thought about that.

However, you might want a slightly more powerful motor than the little gray ones that come with the kit. Oh yeah, and maybe shave down the edges on the lego.

So, Steve Digman, who built the mighty piece of machinery (and who's CC license I have now fulfilled so I can post the whole thing if I wanted to, but I'll let his bandwidth deal with it instead), we salute you. With what body part, well, that's another question.

Brenda Brathwaite's Sex In Games Book Released

Brenda Brathwaite's Sex In Games Book Released

Wow. It's actually out.

This is the new bible of sex in video games. Brenda Brathwaite spent over a year combing the history of video games, speaking to many developers old and new, researching the latest sex technology and innovations, and calling me at all hours of the night to get my opinion on why the 2003 vintage of pixelated boobs was so much better than the 2001 vintage, in order to put this book together. It's been a labor of love, hate, then some more love, then slight frustration, then hate again, then a little love, and finally, relief. So, go buy a copy for every flat surface in your house. It also makes a great Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas/Bar Mitzvah/Christening/Briss/Birthday/All of the Above present! It's a dessert topping AND a floor cleaner!

Oh yeah, and you can get it for $10 cheaper at Amazon

There are better things for that

So I know I've been quiet lately. The move to the Bay Area and basically overhaul of life in general have been keeping me quite busy.

I realize a lot of you may find this time frightening and worrysome, since you currently lack the internet's premier resource on sex and technology.

However, I implore you.

Do not start shoving cell phones up your butt. I know it has a vibrate function, but that's not what it was meant for.

Honestly, it's just not a good idea. I swear I'm working on new stuff, I'll be posting again soon, and we'll all live happily ever after.

Please, people, no more anal cell phone deaths.
